How Rank Prediction Works
Rank prediction uses your raw score relative to the expected score distribution of all candidates. For a normal distribution, most students score near the average, and very few score at the extremes. Your percentile indicates what percentage of students scored below you.
For JEE Main 2025, over 1.2 million candidates appear. A raw score of 250/300 typically places you in the 99.5+ percentile — roughly rank 5,000–6,000. For NEET, with 2.3 million candidates, a score of 680/720 puts you in the top 0.1% or approximately rank 2,300.
This calculator provides an estimate, not the exact official rank. Official ranks depend on normalisation across exam sessions, tie-breaking rules, and the actual score distribution of all appearing candidates.
🔬 Methodology & Accuracy
Formula: Uses the standard mathematical formula shown in the Formula & Method section above. All computations run client-side in your browser — no data is sent to our servers.
Data sources: Tax bands, contribution limits and regulatory rates are taken from official US (IRS, SSA) and UK (HMRC, gov.uk) publications for the current tax year, and updated when bands change.
