How calculators are built

• We start with the accepted formula or rule set for the topic.
• Inputs are named in plain language and constrained where possible.
• Results include the primary answer plus supporting breakdowns.
• Important calculators include examples, interpretation guidance, and source notes.

Accuracy standard

Mathematical and conversion calculators use deterministic formulas. Finance, tax, health, construction, and science tools are estimates unless explicitly stated otherwise. All calculator inputs run in the browser; no input values are stored on our servers.

Review cycle

High-impact calculators are reviewed when rates, limits, standards, or formulas change. Each calculator page displays a last-reviewed date and methodology note.
